After you install Pulstar spark plugs, you will understand why our spark plugs are known as the best spark plugs. Spark plugs are installed in your engine, and changing them out is generally a simple task. When spark plugs begin to wear out, your engine can misfire, stall and have trouble starting. If you have spark plug problems, you are in the right place.

Pulstar invented the best spark plugs
What does it take to be the best spark plug? Timing. At the piston head, timing is everything. The right timing means more power and torque, quicker throttle response, better fuel economy, lower emissions and a more stable and long-lived engine. We knew that if we could improve the timing of combustion in our customers' engines, they would be delighted by the results. That's why we invented the Pulstar spark plug.
I use these on all my cars
I have installed these in over 10 vehicles. Always made them run better and in most cases got better mileage. I installed a set in my 2006 GLI. Improved mileage by 2 mile per gallon. When I sold it, I took them out and mileage dropped immediately by 2 miles per gallon. I use these in all my cars and installed them in many of my friends cars and truck. Alos a huge improvement in the dual plugged Dodge trucks but you need to replace all the plugs.

From the outside, our plugs look and install just like every other conventional spark plug. But embedded on the inside of Pulstar spark plugs is a novel piece of combustion technology, developed with the help of the Sandia National Laboratory. It delivers an ultra-high intensity, electrical discharge at the gap with more precise timing than any other product on the market. The result is the most rapid, powerful, consistent and complete burn possible.

Pulstar burns fuel efficiently, ensuring it isn't wasted. Whether you see an improvement in power, fuel economy, or both depends on how you drive. Experience the delight you'll get behind the wheel, at the pump, and when you look at your kids knowing you're doing your part to reduce emissions.
Frequently asked questions about spark plugs
How often should I replace my spark plugs?
For best results, you should replace your spark plugs every 50,000 miles under normal driving conditions.
How do I know if one of my spark plugs is fouled?
If your engine misfires, idles roughly or doesn't run smoothly, one or more of your spark plugs may have become dirty or fouled. Other symptoms of a fouled spark plug include a lack of acceleration, reduced gas mileage and difficulty starting.
Do I still need to gap spark plugs?
Pulstar spark plugs should be gapped to the setting recommended by the engine manufacturer up to 0.055" (1.40 mm). Do not gap greater than 0.055". For factory turbo or supercharged engines, gap Pulstar spark plugs to 0/025" (0.63 mm).
What happens if I don't gap the spark plugs correctly?
An engine with spark plugs that are not gapped correctly will not run smoothly and may not have power or misfire.
How often should I replace my lawn mower spark plug?
Lawnmower spark plugs are typically replaced once a year.
Does it help to clean spark plugs?
Spark plugs cannot be cleaned enough to operate as new. It is always best to replace fouled or contaminated spark plugs.
How do I install Pulstar spark plugs?
Pulstar spark plugs install the same way conventional spark plugs are installed. When using a ratchet and socket or similar tool, care should be taken to not put a side load on the ceramic.
What kind of performance benefits can I expect when upgrading to Pulstar spark plugs?
Customers see significant improvements in engine torque, horsepower, fuel economy and emissions. They notice quicker throttle response, smoother operation and improved towing capacity.
How do Pulstar spark plugs produce these performance benefits?
The science underlying our technology is sometimes called pulse power: energy accumulated over time is released quickly producing a very high power event, i.e., a pulse. Our patented technology applies this concept by embedding in Pulstar spark plugs a capacitor to store ignition coil energy prior to discharge, and to drive an ultra-high current channel across the gap when released. That powerful current creates an electromagnetic field that expands through the combustion chamber and ionizes the fuel air mixture, allowing the flame kernel to grow much more rapidly than in a conventional spark plug ignition event. The result is the most precise, powerful, consistent and complete burn possible.
Do you guarantee these performance benefits?
Yes, we do. If you aren't completely satisfied with your Pulstar spark plugs, return them, together with your dated sales receipt, to the merchant from whom you bought them within 30 days for a full refund of your purchase price.
Do Pulstar spark plugs come with a warranty?
Yes, they do. If your Pulstar spark plugs prove to be defective in materials or workmanship within one (1) year of purchase, return them, along with your dated sales receipt and an explanation of the reason for the return, to Pulstar LLC, 2451 Alamo Avenue SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106 and Pulstar LLC will replace them.

These plugs really walk the walk when you install them. I compared the spark compared to what I had in before and the size of the spark is huge! I had Iridium plugs in before they blew those plugs away! You can feel the difference in the throttle and the way it responds when you punch the gas. I would recommend them to anyone. YES they are pricy but I feel they are worth every penny. I would buy them again any day of the week!

They are the icing on the cake in a modified engine (excluding ignition mods). These plugs are especially good in an engine that doesn't have a centered in combustion chamber plug or dual plugged head.

Got these, installed them into my Jeep, and so far, it's been running smoother and more economical than before. Previously, I was getting ~15 miles per Gallon, now it's 20 MPG. Horsepower has increased, and the acceleration is faster than before.

I don't really write reviews… but I felt I had to with these plugs. I researched the website and technology and it made sense. I had no idea a spark plug could make such a difference in performance until now!! I have a 2014 EFI Triumph Bonneville - I have added a ton of performance upgrades and even remapped the fuel injection for more performance... All of the upgrades made a difference.. but none as dramatic - nor a bigger bang for the buck - as swapping out my plugs for these. I will put these plugs in anything and everything I have a spark plug in if possible. To me it's a just a no brainer. Do yourself a favor and get them.

These are not your latest Fad of a spark plug, They work awesome as stated. After all these years of trying every spark plug brand out there. I now am beyond happy with these plugs since I can actually feel the consistent power from zero to my top end. Now the Pulstar's are going in my fleet! I cant wait to try them in my snow machine.

IMMEDIATELY I noticed an improvement
I came across Pulstar spark plugs in some 4x4 enthusiast forums, and after looking through their website I was so impressed with all the background information provided (both the level of scientific analysis, and the sheer volume of empirical data) that I decided the generally high-price was justified, and I would try the plugs in my own vehicles (a 1989 Landcruiser and a 1997 4Runner). IMMEDIATELY I noticed an improvement in throttle response; it was particularly obvious in my 4Runner which suffered from an 'engine stutter' issue that I had been trying to properly diagnose and fix for about a year. Right away, the stutter issue went from being noticeable in approx 15-30% of certain throttle situations to scantily noticeable at all, and when it is noticed it's only in approx 0-5% of the same throttle situations. I also noticed a significant improvement in fuel economy. I am almost religious when it comes to calculating my overall fuel economy for the last tank of gas after every fillup (I even know exactly how much my different-than-factory-sized tires impact odometer readings on both of my trucks, based on distance comparisons between odometer vs. GPS data) and prior to changing the spark plugs I would average between 16-18 MPG (often in the high 16s - mid 17s, and only reaching 18+ on tanks that were nearly 100% highway miles at cruising speed) in the 4Runner. Now, since installing Pulstar spark plugs, I've filled-up 4x tanks of gas in the 4Runner (none yet in Landcruiser) - and on the first three (which were no different from my normal weekly commute to/from) I averaged 18+ MPG (up to 18.5) and on the last tank, which admittedly was quite favorable in that it was 260+ miles all on the highway at cruising speed (not more than 75mph) and coming from Bishop CA to Los Angeles CA (an overall drop in elevation of about 3,000ft) I averaged an ALL-TIME-HIGH overall 20.1 MPG!

These plugs are miraculous in small engines on lawnmowers, etc. The difference between a regular plug and a Pulstar plug in a small engine is like night and day. Turned my kid's go-kart into a genuine death trap. Pressure washer turned into a beast. Lawnmower ignites before I'm halfway through the first pull. The results are incredible.

The change to Pulstar® plugs gapped to factory 0.035″ was the only change made for this test. We waited for the first tank of fuel to burn through before making comparisons. At that point there were several distinct improvements: Better tip-in throttle response at any road speed and under heavy acceleration. Less throttle needed to sustain normal "cruise" road speeds. Less downshifting on grades with cruise control applied. Acceleration improved with both forced and cruise control downshifts. Distinct improvement in fuel efficiency; approximately one mile per gallon improvement (5.5%) under "city" and "highway" or interstate test conditions; this engine has always started well. The car feels snappier, more responsive to the throttle than before...it feels noticeably stronger and I'd be willing to bet itis stronger and probably in the vicinity of the 5-7 hp gain Pulstar documents were achieved in the Tahoe as well as a 2012 Charger.

I had a choice between good performance on short drives, or good performance on longer drives, and always bad performance in cold weather. After I installed a set of Pulstar plugs, I put the stock idle feed restrictors back in and leaned out the idle. Now, throttle response from a cold start is flawless and throttle response remains so even when the engine is fully warmed up. As soon as the snow melted, I went for a 90-minute drive in 30-degree weather covering all conditions from country roads to freeways to city streets without a single stumble. I went for another long drive on a recent 65-degree day with perfect performance again. On both drives I found I was more likely to hit the rev limiter in first and second gears so power may be up as well. To summarize, I thought the only way to solve the drivability problems was to replace the carburetor with a fuel injection system, but just installing the Pulstar plugs was enough. I am extremely pleased with how these plugs work.

Super easy to install. ECM takes about 20 miles to "learn" even when battery disengaged during install. This morning drove around town. Performance so far about 40 miles is off the charts better than anything since car was new! 144,000 miles. Superb! All the superlatives one reads about are there. Very, very impressed! I had just replaced AC Delco plugs with Denso TT's a month ago which was a large improvement over ACD plugs. Still, the idle ain't right. That's why I decided to try the Pulstar's. Boy am I glad I did!
